Trigger Warning: The following contains conversations about mental health.
This September 14th we are celebrating ‘R U OK? Day’. A national day of action dedicated to raising awareness around mental health. The day is inspired by the ideology around the power of a conversation. By simply asking “are you okay?”, our teams and communities are starting the conversation.
Although asking the question is only one step in the right direction. The R U OK team has provided a range of resources and advice to help. The following are the four simple steps they are recommending to start the conversation:
- Ask
- Listen
- Encourage Action
- Check In
R U OK also has a wide range of resources available to assist with the conversation. To view these resources, click here.
Agin we want to remind our members and communities that we’re here to really hear, because a conversation could change a life!
